Harmony Cornet & Swingin’ Harmony BANDS

The Harmony Cornet Band has been proudly serving the community since 1916 and has remained in continuous operation for more than a century. In 2019, we expanded our musical offerings by forming Swingin' Harmony to meet the growing demand for a traditional big band in the Frederick, Maryland area. Together, these two ensembles make up the Harmony Bands.

Our volunteer musicians represent a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, united by a shared passion for music. Our mission is to bring the joy of big band, jazz, marches, patriotic selections, and contemporary concert band music to audiences throughout our community. We enjoy performing in parades, community events, concerts, and other public performances that bring people together through music.

The Harmony Bands are incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our organization is supported through modest performance fees and the generous donations we receive from audiences and supporters.
